Cu Chi Tunnels - Ho Chi Minh City 1 Day Muslim Tour

Joining this 1 day trip, you will travel to the Cu Chi fighting tunnels of Viet Cong fame to discover how people used to live and fight during Vietnam War and visit the most interesting sites in Saigon in the afternoon.

Tour program:

Our tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City at 08:00 in the morning then drive to

the Cu Chi Tunnels. Leaving the bustling city behind the scenery begins to change; first to lush rice paddies, then to rubber plantations, and finally to villagers drying noodles by the side of the road and going about their daily chores. On arrival start the visit with the Ben Dinh or Ben Duoc sections of the tunnel. Here you can imagine what it was like to be a guerrilla complete with Russian Carbine rifles and AK 47’s. On display in the visitor’s section you can see a map of the tunnel system; this really helps you comprehend the complexity and the ingenious design of the tunnels. Drive back to Ho Chi Minh City at around noon, have lunch at a local Halal restaurant.

In the afternoon, we will start to visit Saigon after lunch. The center of Ho Chi Minh City offers some of the finest Colonial Buildings all within walking distance, The Municipal Theatre, constructed in 1899 the building has offered Ho Chi Minh City residents entertainment for over 100 years. Gaze across the square to the Continental Hotel, where author Graham Green and the war time press once lived.

Visiting Indian Jamia Muslim Mosque or Notre Dame Cathedral, the structure makes a great backdrop to the cities

bustling streets. Visit The General Post Office, unchanged since its completion in the 1880’s.

Journey on to the Hotel de Ville , this landmark building is perhaps the most ornate of all colonial structures in the city. Next visit the Reunification Palace, one of the most fascinating sights in the city and exceptionally well preserved, almost the same as if was left in 1975 when the North Vietnamese army tanks stormed the gates. If your time permits, visit War museum or History museum which is close to the Reunification Palace or time for shopping till the end of day. Back to your hotel at around 17:00, tour ends.
