Depart from Saigon and drive to Vinh Long (~2 hours / 130 km). Upon arrival, take a walk to visit the Vinh Long market before boarding a private boat for a cruise along the typical maze of waterways and canals of the Mekong Delta. Stop by Tien Chau pagoda and visit local brick and pottery workshops. Have lunch at a local restaurant and taste the “elephant ear fish”, a popular regional dish. Continue to explore the canals to reach the biggest nursery garden at An Binh island. Towards the end of the day, meet and greet your homestay family. Discover the real local life during a short cycling or walking tour and enjoy free time for personal discovery until you join the family for the preparation of the dinner. Early start with the morning sounds of the Mekong. After a short walk to observe the farmers’ daily life, continue by boat to reach Mr. Cai Cuong house, which was a former landlord house, and taste the fresh tropical fruits of the Delta, while listening to traditional South Vietnamese music performed by local artists. Visit a Nursery garden before heading to the small Cai Be floating market. Visit Vinh Trang pagoda en route while driving back to Ho Chi Minh City
